We've started calling rain "waterfall food." It makes us feel much better to think of rain making the waterfalls run rather than thinking of it as cold, wet, miserable, gray, awful stuff.

Below are pictures of Ruth's Waterfall before and after a hearty meal of waterfall food. The first two pictures were taken during the dry Fall, 2002, 24 hours apart (0.45 inches of waterfall food).
