Two salmon fishermen test the waters of the Afon Wysg
(Usk River) below the 17th century bridge in Crickhowell.
Supposedly, this bridge has 13 arches but we only counted
12... [Mystery solved (July, 2002), click the bridge...]
As a former resident of Crickhowell, I can
tell you the bridge over the river Usk does
indeed have 13 arches,
as opposed to 12, if one looks downstream from
Bullpit meadow. The thirteenth arch intersects
the twelfth arch on the south side
on the Crickhowell side of the bridge.
Do not hesitate to contact me if you require
further details.
