What's New

The next day we drove to Stewart Park in Ithaca, at the south end of Cayuga Lake. In the distance, you can see Portland Point where Gulf Creek enters the Lake. Ruth's Waterfall is 600 feet (180m) higher up and behind the hill you see in the foreground.

Most of the storm debris that enters the lake south of Taughannock Point ends up here by the prevailing winds. We wondered if we would find any traces of The Bridge here but found none that we recognized.

This tree was probably not the one that hit The Bridge (I don't remember seeing any roots), but it is about the same size.
