We saw this amazing scene late one Spring afternoon. When we first noticed it, it looked like the upper part of the stream was frozen (20°F, -6.6°C last night), and the lower part looked like it was on fire.

The setting sun behind us colored the cliffs on the far side of Arch Canyon a brilliant red while the sky above was an electric blue.

The stream reflected both the red cliffs and the blue sky, depending on the angle.

In this photo, the cliffs are totally over-exposed and the sky above the canyon rim is not visible.
