Location

The "Spirit of Ontario" (nicknamed "The Cat") fast ferry runs between Rochester and Toronto. It is a great way to get from Toronto to the waterfalls of Rochester and the Finger Lakes of New York.

Details

This is not a waterfall. However, the flow of water through the jet turbines of The Cat is pretty impressive by waterfall standards -- 2,000 cubic feet per second at maximum speed.

The ferry runs twice per day in each direction, starting from Rochester. The trip is fast (2-1/2 hours) and verrry comfortable.
