What's New

There is not much to be seen of the Middle falls of the Genesee in Rochester. The falls have been replaced by a dam where water is collected into a tunnel through the gorge wall on the far side of the river. This tunnel flows to a stack above the Lower Falls (about 1,000 feet downstream to the left) and then falls to electrical generating turbines at the base of the Lower Falls.

This view was taken from Lower Falls Park.
