Waterfall Sculpture


Here is a new art form for all of you waterfall lovers. Find a nice gentle waterfall (like Ruth's Waterfall shown below). Then go a ways upstream and rearrange a few stones, tree branches, and dead leaves to redirect the flow in the streambed. Return to view the waterfall to see if you've "improved" it. With a bit of tinkering, you can really change its appearance.

And, like sand sculpture, your work will be somewhat ephemeral. Within a few hours, the waterfall will sculpt itself back to the way it wants to look...

Here are photos of Ruth's Waterfall before and after (about 10 minutes later) our first attempt at waterfall sculpting.
