Here is the finished bridge. There are five parts:

  1. The pier and removable deck on the near side - 3 x 4 x 5 feet (.9 x 1.2 x 1.5 m), filled with rock
  2. The "dock" on the near side, 16 feet long (4.9 m)
  3. The "dock" on the far side, 20 feet long (6.1 m)
  4. The pier on the far side - 3 x 3 x 3 feet (.9 x .9 x .9 m), filled with gravel and rock
  5. The ramp across the bog on the far side, 16 feet long (4.9 m)

The dock on the far side is tethered to a tree with 5/16" (8 mm) steel cable. The dock on the near side is tethered to the pier with 5/16" steel cable. The two insert pieces at the bends are tethered to the dock on the near side and the ramp on the far side, respectively, with 1/8" (3.2mm) steel cable.

The four legs in mid-stream are 2-1/2 inch 6.4 cm) galvanized iron pipe.

The bottom of the bridge is 27" (.69 m) above the stream bed. The distance between the two piers is 33-1/2 feet (10.2 m).
