The picture is indeed authentic, and from the style of pictographs it dates to the late Anasazi time-period. Some of the pictures on the wall are religous in nature, especially the bird (a crane), the staffs, and the wolf footprints (there are 2 at the site, and your picture does include one full picture of a wolf footprint, and cuts of the 2nd footprint in the right-hand side of the picture. The local name of this panel is "the wolfman panel".
