Well downstream from the Upper Falls of Gulf Creek we finally got to water level and were then able to work our way upstream to the base of the falls. We used our new snowshoes and our knee-high rubber boots and had no trouble navigating the banks and stream crossings even though the snow was 20" deep. With cold temperatures and no wind, this winter wonderland scene persisted for several weeks and we made repeated visits to this amazing place. |
