patterson10.jpg (30956 bytes) The tunnel is about 150 yards long. The upstream half is a concrete culvert under the fill brought in for the railroad grade. The lower half was cut through rock to carry the stream away from the base of the fill. The rock tunnel is in good shape but the concrete culvert is showing signs of deterioration at the base.
