Hiking |
Most of the hike must be
done in the stream which runs year round. Climbing
up the two primary waterfalls is moderately difficult
but the remaining part of the hike is fairly easy.
Length of hike is 2-4 hours, longer if you go beyond
the first falls. |
Details |
Pretty stream, two adjacent
falls with upper falls (20') hidden until you scale
the lower (40'). Gully has side tributary with steep
cascades and falls but not much water. Beautiful,
huge hemlocks and sycamores. Exit from side tributary
through probable site of Iroquois longhouse to parallel
road. This gully, one of the longest and deepest in
the area, has a great deal to offer during all seasons. |
